Stuart One of the best, most challenging black albums of recent years, this is creative even by Book of Sand's standards. Imagine something that's as much Weakling's Dead As Dreams as DHG's 666 International and you're kind of there. Repetitive at points, wildly chaotic at others, with plenty of moments that will make some people shout "that's not black metal!", Seven Candles... is an absolute trip that really rewards persistence and trusting in where it is taking you.
